I’m not what one would consider an artist.

But I’m an artist.

Every time I paint a dog I suck at it less the next time. Sometimes I use recycled canvases and make new dog art on it. Sometimes I ask my boyfriend (who sucks much less at creating art than me) for help deciding what to do next. But every painting gives me space to practice improving my abilities to express dogs in a wacky ass way after having to meticulously observe them in my work daily.

Sometimes there’s imperfections in the canvas since it is used, and sometimes my lines aren’t really all that crisp. Cool thing about art is there are no rules. Just guidelines. I’m just out here making my own damn rules apparently.
